Current music:I'll be that girl - Barenaked Ladies

Because I'm actually curious... .
If you could go back, and take over your own body in the past... how far would you go?

Do you go all the way... end up with the mind of an adult in the body of a child... confident that you can take full advantage of a huge swathe of information and put up with the crap.

Do you go to high school... the years people in movies seem to love but nobody else ever seemed to?

Start of Uni?

First love?

Last love?

Yesterday?

This Morning?

Actually I find myself wanting to go back and be able to help other people rather than myself.

Would I go back to high school, and stop my classmate Peter from trying to raise money for his club by shaking tins on the side of the road the day he got hit by a car?

If there were no screwing up the space-time continuum, I think I'd go back to the start of uni and rethink some choices, at least; if not go back further, maybe try and rescue my dad from himself, spend more quality time with people who have since died. But frell it, I'm not the kinda gal who'd risk everything I had now for it. I've got a couple of good things in my life now, and that's precious enough as it is.

Assuming it is the Current-Me directly implanted over the top of Past-Me, I'd say soon after I had the ability to talk. Time would be fairly sucky in the passing before then.

That's such a hard question.

If I had to do it all again, there are a lot of things I would do differently, but some of them would probably mean missing out on many of the wonderful experiences I've had since.

It's a case of what are you willing to give up in order to "fix" something that went wrong in the past - especially since you couldn't even be sure that changing things back then would make your present any better.

I've thought about that a lot, from time to time. And I still don't know. Maybe if I could just go back and give myself messages at various points from my older self... maybe that would work. I wonder whether my younger self would listen?

Perhaps third year. It would be *soo* weird though, wandering around campus and accidentally greeting people I didn't know yet...

But probably I wouldn't do it. Like fireflyfaery, I feel my life is precious now.
