Townhall published today Palin's talking notes "as prepared for delivery"...
I draw your attention to the following paragraph:
"Starting in January, in a McCain-Palin administration, we're going to lay more pipelines ... build more new-clear plants ... create jobs with clean coal ... and move forward on solar, wind, geothermal, and other alternative sources."
I rest my case

Got to love that kind of crowd. |

Well, by now you should all know there is a rally tomorrow.
Unfortunately the website giving everybody details (ACTU) has been down most of the day.
So here is an alternative page.
Needless to say, I'm going to be there. |

I do try to keep a level of maturity and intellectualism when talking about politics. Nothing can harm your argument more than the random spewing of vitriol and anger.
So with that in mind, read this link, then follow the ( Cut ) |

| A direct quote from the proposed anti-terror bill: |
[Oct. 18th, 2005|04:41 pm] |
Seditious Intention means the intention to effect any of the following purposes:
(a)Bring the Sovereign into hatred or contempt
(b)To Urge disaffection against the following
(i)The Constitution (ii)The Government of the Commonwealth (iii)either House of the Parliament
(c)To urge another person to attempt, otherwise than by lawful means, to procure a change to any matter established by law in the Commonwealth
(d)To promote feelings of ill-will or hostility between different groups so as to threaten the peace, order and good government of the Commonwealth.
Some definitions:
Sedition Dissafection
So me saying:
"The Australian public are a bunch of mueling cabbages who keep voting in a horrid little turd of a man to run a farce of a democracy"
Would be sedition? Does this mean I get charged? Cool, I should get t-shirts made up: "Seditionist" [big red letters, blask shirt] |

And I spit *hak-ptoie*
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and declare myself all for genetic alteration, improvement and the such.
I want to be one of those "merging of carbon and silicon systems" ( z3nmaster speaks of this a few entries ago, but not quite sure where he wanted to go with it... drop me a comment... let us debate!).
I want to be able to give my children increased intelligence.
I want to go into a shop and come out with gills should I desire.
Bring it on! Let the genetics fly freeeeeee! |

[politcal whinge]
Alexander Downer once again astounds me.
"If Mr Hicks and his lawyers want to try to circumvent justice by going to some other country and think that will help them, that's a matter between him and that country,"
Jesus fuck... not only do they leave him to rot for years without charge and under what any reasonable person would call torturous conditions, but this "other country" he's talking about is England! I mean, when England under Blair is looking more ethically responsible than us then something has gone seriously wrong.
Seriously Fucking Wrong.
